If your printer shows Offline, it usually means your device can’t communicate with the printer. Try these steps in order.

1) Check the basics

  • Restart the printer and your Wi-Fi router.
  • Confirm the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check cables (power + USB if used).

2) Set the correct default printer

On your computer, make sure the correct printer is selected as the default printer.

3) Clear stuck print jobs

Cancel pending jobs and restart the print spooler (Windows). This fixes many “offline” problems.

4) Reinstall drivers if needed

If the issue continues, reinstall the printer driver and reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.

When to call for service

If the printer keeps going offline or won’t reconnect, it may be a network setting issue, firmware issue, or hardware fault.
