To connect a brother printer to your phone, there is a need of Brother Mobile Connect app either connect via Wi-Fi Direct or your existing Wi-Fi network.
First, you should download the Brother Mobile Connect app on your phone.
Then, follow the app’s instructions to either connect directly to your printer using Wi-Fi Direct (creating a temporary network) or connect to your existing Wi-Fi network.

Download and Install Brother connect app: Go to google play store in android and app store in IOS (iPhone or iPad) to download and install app.

Enable WiFi on Printer: There is a complete guideline on how to enable your wifi direct. It instructs how to navigate the printer’s menu and select Wi-Fi.

Now you need to connect your phone Wi-Fi direct network by going to WiFi setting with a network name Direct: followed by brother printer’s mode number.  Connect to this network.

Click on Brother connect app: click on the brother mobile connect app and follow the instructions to connect your brother printer app to your printer. App will detect WiFi brother printer’s Direct network and let you understand the connection process.

Password Prompted: It may ask for the password. Enter the password if prompted as some printer require password.

How to connect Brother printer via Bluetooth:  To connect a Brother printer via Bluetooth, first, make sure printer has Bluetooth enabled and is discoverable. On your computer or mobile device, you need to enable Bluetooth and search for available devices. And select your printer from the list, if asked, put the passkey (PIN code), which is generally the last four digits of the printer’s serial number. Let it be paired; after pairing you will be able to print and scan documents or photos using the connected device.

Enable Bluetooth on Brother Printer: Look for Bluetooth setting on your brother printer in menu or control panel. Turn on Bluetooth from setting and enable Bluetooth on mobile phone.

Discover available Bluetooth device in search. Your printer should be one of the options appear in the list, select your brother printer to pair the process.
